Now that we have some feedback from the first poll, sorry to inconvenience but let's vote one last time to wrap it up, please -
Again, the option that includes "Auction" is the Top 100 Prospects (per Baseball America) + 1 or 2 nominated player/s per team.
Each owner has two votes for their preferences.
________
Looks like while I was writing the below, votes came in. I'll start to get the Prospect Auction prepared as it takes time.
Well. now we can start to discuss the pace you want to draft prospects at once we're done with the Top 100 + nominations. 24 hours, 12 hours, 6 hours w/ timer, or below.
Commish opinion: The 6-hour timer overnight is not an easy task on ProBoards. Let me give an example of the one round per day at 30 minutes per pick. We have 20 teams, therefore a potential schedule could look like this:
10:00AM: TEAM 1
10:30AM: TEAM 2
11:00AM: TEAM 3
11:30AM: TEAM 4
12:00PM: TEAM 5
12:30PM: TEAM 6
1:00PM: TEAM 7
1:30PM: TEAM 8
2:00PM: TEAM 9
2:30PM: TEAM 10
3:00PM: TEAM 11
3:30PM: TEAM 12
4:00PM: TEAM 13
4:30PM: TEAM 14
5:00PM: TEAM 15
5:30PM: TEAM 16
6:00PM: TEAM 17
6:30PM: TEAM 18
7:00PM: TEAM 19
7:30PM: TEAM 20
You'd assigned a certain slot during the day. If you missed your slot, you can make up your pick at anytime while that round is open (2 rounds will stay open at a time). You could always send a proxy list to the commish if you won't make your slot.
I'd suggest this to get us thru the Top 500 prospects at least and then after that, we could get rolling even slower (12-24 hours). However, I do realize it's a tough schedule to commit to. I will leave it up to you guys to decide how you'd like to handle the pace of the draft.
