Overview:
Specific details in constitution still TBD pending final # of teams & owner preferences; I will keep the below details updated as we progress throughout the formation of this league. As commissioner, I've participated in a 30-team, 300+ man-roster league and it is the most fun you will ever have in fantasy baseball if you love prospects and minor league baseball, are looking for one the most realistic GM opportunities out there (11 months out of 12, transactions are open), and the success of this league will rest on its members. As commissioner, I assure you 100% transparency and league organization (in a league this deep, it is crucial.) The contract structure is set up for maximum flexibility in building your roster and anti-tanking measurements are in place, therefore even the 17th place team is still competitive for a first-round supplemental draft pick.
This league's success will depend on you, the members. All I ask is that you are respectful to other members and are looking for a fun, friendly, competitive league. I can assure you the rules/contracts/etc. systems in place assure the success of the league for at least the next 20 years, assuming we are filled with members who do not mind waiting on prospects to mature, realize the state of your franchise and place priorities where they should be. However, the constitution lays out in detail the league aspects and I'd be happy to answer any questions.
Summary:
- (20-26) Teams
- ($50 - $150) Buy-In
- Salary Cap Franchise League
- CBS for scoring/roster management / ProBoards for drafts, communication, auctions, etc.
- Year-round Commitment (Drafts alone): (First Year Player Draft, International Signing Period & Minor League Free Agent Draft)
- 40-Man Roster (w/ Promotions/Demotions & Paid Minors)
- 25-Man Active Roster
- 150-250 MiLB Prospect Roster (no salaries for these players until promoted)
- H2H Categories (even this is debatable depending on the interested owners preferences) -
Offense -
R, H, RBI, HR, TB, BA, OBP and SB.
Pitching -
QS, W, ERA, WHIP, K, BB, 4*SV & 2*HLD, OBPA (On-Base Percentage Against)
Feel free to send me a message on here or post on the forum any changes or preferences you'd like to see implemented and I'll begin to open up some polls once we start to have a majority in confirmed members.
Sincerely,
Michael
